‘Vacation in the Village’ will feature local food vendors in Aksarben this weekend

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - This weekend, the Inner Rail is partnering with a local food lovers group to bring a new experience to Aksarben.
On Saturday, 67th Street will be closed, and the road will be filled with local vendors. It’s all for “Vacation in the Village.”
There will be a mix of food vendors, local artists, and entertainment.
The Inner Rail in Aksarben teamed up with a Facebook group called Omaha Food Lovers to make the event a reality. The focus is all on helping local vendors after a difficult year.
“The more you support local, the more money stays in the community,” said Stacy Winters of Omaha Food Lovers. So, I think that’s what we’ve stressed a lot about. We will support anybody and everybody but we do like the idea that we are supporting a lot of small businesses with this initiative,” .
The event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday and goes until 7 p.m. near the Inner Rail Food Hall.
