Aksarben Village

Always Something Fun

Ak-Sar-Ben

Aksarben (“Nebraska” spelled backwards) was one of Omaha’s most popular destinations throughout the 20th century. Famous for its horseracing track, Aksarben also featured a grandstand, coliseum and other facilities that hosted a variety of entertainment, including concerts, public ice-skating, minor league sports games, world championship rodeos and road shows.

It all began with the Knights of Aksarben, a local philanthropic organization of business, social and political leadership. The Knights of Aksarben played a prominent role in Omaha’s history. Over the years, the organization has been applauded for its contribution to the Aksarben development, building one of Omaha’s most prominent attractions for visitors and locals alike.

Come for the daylife, stay for the nightlife.
